Introducing Nash Nephew

Born November 12, 2009 at 5:31 a.m. 8 pounds 21"
Nash Dean Nephew was born in water at St. Joseph's Hospital exactly 1 hour 16 minutes after we arrived. The midwife on call arrived 10 minutes before I started pushing. Thank the Lord I had Nick and the most amazing doula to help me through those minutes before midwife arrived. Nash so far is an absolute dream baby! Nearly sleeps through the night, eats well, hardly cries, we love him so! Dear Brynn is enjoying the new addition to the family, and Mingus thinks 'what the heck'.
We are terribly busy with moving out of our wonderful St. Paul home. We now move in with my parents for 3 weeks and then off to our new home in Birchwood! I'll update pic's with growing baby, and new home when I can.
Happy Thanksgiving! We are most thankful for our family.

Sleep Solution Needed
You see this face? It's the face of a defiant 2 year old.

We seem to be getting this look a lot lately - especially at bed time. Brynn recently went from sleeping in a crib to her very own big girl bed. My have times changed! No longer can I just rock her for a few minutes and lay her down for a peaceful nights sleep. Now the tide has turned and she refuses to stay in bed and will not allow mommy to leave the room until she falls asleep! Bedtime routines now take a couple of hours and I'm feeling neglected of any time for me. So far, the verdict is that I need to play tough and leave the room only to come in to tuck her in again without saying a word. Hopefully this works, I want my sleeping angel back!

Sweet dreams!

Our voyage to Fertile, MN in a 9 passenger van

Nick's dad is originally from the small town of Fertile, MN. Located near the White Earth Indian reservation, the land is very beautiful. It was fun to see where Dean grew up and to meet relatives who were very hospitable with lots of homemade desserts! The little cousins had a blast swimming together and playing about.
